Mitsubishi Motors R & D of America, Inc. has openings in our Ann Arbor facility for Design Engineers.
Responsibilities: Develop new or modified component designs. Provide technical support and direction for projects from concept planning through mass production start-up. Coordinate with other departments and suppliers. Create prototype design drawings (including 3-D & wireframe) using CATIA software with all applicable dimensions according to engineering specifications.
Requirements: BSME or equivalent degree. Experience in new product development, and an understanding of the manufacturing process. 3-5 years OEM, Tier I, or Tier II experience using CATIA to create technical automotive interior (except seating) or exterior (plastics, lighting, steel, body) component drawings.
Excellent verbal, written and graphical communication skills, the ability to work in a diverse environment and the ability to travel are essential. Mitsubishi is an equal opportunity employer.
